Retraction of publications

RETRACTION OF PUBLICATIONS

General provisions

  1. The retraction of a scientific article is a mechanism for correcting published information and notifying readers that a published scientific article contains serious deficiencies or erroneous data that cannot be trusted. Unreliable data can be the result of both accidental and deliberate violations.
  2. Retraction is also used to alert readers to cases of duplicate publications (when authors present the same data in several publications), plagiarism, and concealment of conflicts of interest that could affect the interpretation of data or recommendations for their use.
  3. The main purpose of retraction is to correct published information and ensure its integrity, not to punish authors who have committed violations.

Reasons and grounds for retraction of an article

The grounds for withdrawing an article are violations of the journal's ethical principles.

The grounds for withdrawing an article include:

- Significant unlawful borrowings;

- Duplication of an article in several editions;

- Detection of fabrication or falsification in the work (for example, falsification of research data);

- Detection of serious errors in the work (for example, incorrect interpretation of results), which casts doubt on the scientific value of the material;

- Incorrect composition of authors (inclusion of persons who do not meet the criteria of authorship);

- Hidden conflict of interest (and other violations of publication ethics);

- Publication of an article without the consent of all authors;

- Other violations of the journal's ethical principles.

The reason for withdrawing an article is:

- The author's request to withdraw the article;

- Submission of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.

The procedure for withdrawing an article

  1. The decision to withdraw the article is made by the Editorial Board of the journal upon the submission of the Editor-in-Chief. The submission should contain information on the existence of grounds for withdrawal of the article specified in these current rules. The decision to withdraw the article is made taking into account the response of the author of the article, which justifies his/her position on the issue of withdrawal of the article (if such a response is received).
  2. If the author/authors ' team considers it necessary to withdraw the article, they apply to the Editorial Board, explaining the reason for their decision. The Editorial Board responds to the authors and, if there are grounds for retraction, independently retracts the text of the article.
  3. If the editorial board of decides to retract the text of the article on the basis of its expertise or information received by the editorial board, the author/author team is informed about this and the author is expected to give his/her opinion on the validity of the submission of the editor-in-chief on the issue of retraction. Information about the initiator of the refraction is not disclosed. If the author/author's team ignores the editorial request within 30 calendar days, the editorial board has the right to retract the publication without taking into account the author's opinion.
  4. The decision to withdraw the article is documented in the minutes of the meeting of the Editorial Board of the journal.
  5. Having decided to retract the article, the Editorial Board indicates the reason for retraction (in case of plagiarism - with the source of borrowing), as well as the date of retraction. The article and the description of the article remain on the journal's website as part of the relevant issue of the journal, but the electronic version of the text is marked ‘REJECTED’ and the date of retraction. The same mark is placed in the article and in the table of contents of the issue.
  6. The author (lead author in case of collective authorship) is sent the minutes of the meeting of the editorial board of the journal with the wording that justifies the reason for the withdrawal of the article.
  7. The Editorial Board of the journal, simultaneously with the decision to withdraw the article, may decide to impose a ban on the acceptance of articles from the author of the retracted article for a certain period of time.
  8. Information about the retraction of the article is published on the journal's website.
